Google Translate is Sexist, here's how we fix it

Hi everyone,
Just a short email from me today. This week I’m trialling something different: I’ve written up the script for my upcoming video as a blog post, and am sharing it with you early!
I’ll add a link to the video at the start of the post once it’s live.
The post looks at how Google Translate defaults to stereotypical translations, and dives into some of the latest research that looks at mitigating bias. Spoiler alert: I think Google Translate’s current approach is just a temporary fix.
This post (and upcoming video) have taken a long time to make and could equally have been split into >4 posts diving deep into each of the papers. Is this something you would prefer? Let me know.
